Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly and organized front office receptionist to join our practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greeting Patients:
    • Welcome patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor.
    • Check patients in and out for their appointments.
    • Verify patient information and update records as necessary.
  2. Scheduling:
    • Manage the appointment schedule to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
    • Schedule new patient appointments and follow-up visits.
    • Coordinate appointments with the dental team and communicate schedule changes as needed.
  3. Billing and Insurance:
    • Collect co-payments and payments for services rendered.
    • Process insurance claims and verify insurance coverage.
    • Assist patients with billing inquiries and payment arrangements.
  4. Patient Communication:
    • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Schedule appointments, answer questions, and provide information about our services.
    • Follow up with patients to confirm appointments and provide reminders.
  5. Administrative Support:
    • Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
    • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the dental team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a customer service or administrative role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and dental practice management software preferred but not required.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures a plus.
