Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Urgent Care Physician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical care to patients with a variety of urgent and non-emergent health issues. This role involves diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries, and other medical conditions in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient satisfaction and efficient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and prompt medical evaluations of patients presenting with a wide range of urgent medical issues.
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other medical conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and X-rays.
  • Prescribe medications and provide appropriate follow-up care.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing lacerations, splinting fractures, and draining abscesses.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, medical assistants, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Adhere to established medical protocols and standards of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education activities.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide guidance on follow-up care and treatment plans.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Maryland.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of urgent care practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to healthcare.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field.
