Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate dentist to join our team. As a dentist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients. You will diagnose and treat dental issues, promote oral health, and educate patients about proper dental hygiene practices.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Perform routine dental examinations and screenings.
- Diagnose dental conditions and develop treatment plans.
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and dental cleanings.
- Administer anesthetics and sedatives as needed.
- Monitor the growth and development of patients’ teeth and jaws.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
- Provide guidance on nutrition and its impact on oral health.
- Explain treatment options and outcomes to patients.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Document treatment plans, procedures performed, and patient progress.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff.
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Continuing Education:
- Stay informed about advancements in dental technology, treatments, and procedures.
- Participate in continuing education courses to maintain licensure and enhance skills.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Valid state dental license in good standing.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental procedures and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Prior experience in a dental practice preferred but not required.
